Botany Cranes had been established for around
thirty years when John and Ann Bradstreet purchased it in 1997.
Coming from a similar business involvement in Canberra, they saw
Botany Cranes as an opportunity to apply their knowledge and experience
of the crane industry.
Since then, under the guidance of Managing Director
John Medland, the business has increased dramatically, going from
a fleet of 7 cranes and 20 staff, to a fleet of 20 cranes and
50+ staff. The dry hire side of the business has recently been
established as a separate entity trading as Botany Access who
provide a range of equipment including boom lifts, scissor lifts,
scaffolding and other specialised machinery for all your aerial
access needs.
Business has mainly increased through word of
mouth, combined with improved service delivery through hard work
and a determination and motivation to be a leading Sydney crane
yard.
