OUR PEOPLE

Damian has worked in the crane and access industry for thirteen years. A motor and marine mechanic by trade, Damian started out on the tools and gradually worked his way up whilst working as an employee for Botany Cranes, Botany Access, Reefway Environmental Services and Cardinal Logistics, before returning to Botany Cranes in 2011 to take up the role of general manager.


As of February 2016 Damian became the Managing Director of the company. Since then he has strived to ensure that competent and highly trained staff are employed, whilst making certain that Work Health and Safety standards, policies and procedures are adhered too, as well as identifying potential hazards by utilising safe work method statements and conducting regular Risk Safety Analysises at job sites. Damian Ensures the company operates in accordance with its safety plan and facilitates regular reviews to make certain that the plan is operating to the highest standard possible, making any necessary ammendments or changes as needed.


Through his extensive experience and knowledge Damian is committed to ensuring efficient processes are in place to ensure maximum benefit for the company.

Tony started his career by carrying out an apprenticeship in bricklaying. Tony then spent the next 20 years running his own bricklaying business working in the construction industry throughout Sydney. Tony then joined Botany Cranes working as a dogman and later as crane operator before moving into his current role as Field Representative. During this time he has carried training in WHS Risk Management for Supervisors & Managers, Selling and Traffic Control worksite planning. As of February 2016 Tony became the Assistant Manager with Botany Cranes.

Responsible for overall planning and co-ordination of equipment, machinery and personnel of the individual project to ensure that the operations are conducted safely and in accordance with statutory requirements. Monitors the operations of the safety plan and recommend any necessary changes to be made. Works with the Field Representatives to provide advice, assistance and direction to project managers to enable them to conduct operation in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains regular contact with client personnel and suppliers to have all necessary insurances and certificates of competency, and that all as such are current.
